On August 25, 2026, the annual NICE conference (Nordic Initiative for Corporate Economics) will take place at IFN. NICE’s ambition is to create a forum for interaction and cross-fertilization among the various branches of economics that study the corporation, but which currently lack an organized way to interact with and learn from one another. These include industrial organization, labor, trade, corporate finance, accounting, and the economics of innovation and entrepreneurship. The conference is organized by Alexander Ljungqvist (SSE) and Lars Persson.
Our aim is that the research in each of these areas will be enriched by exposure to and interaction with scholars in the other areas. To this end, NICE organizes a series of conferences to bring together leading scholars based in the Nordics or with Nordic roots, in a setting that maximizes opportunities for impromptu interaction.
