Wallander stipends are awarded to recent PhDs who have written especially meritorious theses and are considered to have excellent prospects to succeed in future research. The title of Martin Olsson's dissertation was "Essays on Employment Protection, Private Equity and Spousal Behavior." The thesis was presented at the Stockholm University in the spring of 2012.

IFN-researcher Martin Olsson has been awarded a Wallander stipend. A total of four researchers in Economics were in 2012 granted full three-year research funding (approximately SEK 1.5 million).
