The economies of the Nordic countries – Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden – are both similar and strikingly different. This medium term survey is a joint analytic project between the Nordic research institutions – ETLA in Helsinki, IFF in Copenhagen, IØI in Bergen and IUI in Stockholm.
The survey evaluates the growth prospects of the Nordic market. Adjustment problems are discussed and forecasts up to 1990 are presented.
Included are special studies of: the development of the financial markets of the four Nordic countries; the labor markets; and the fast growing Nordic corporations. A comprehensive statistical appendix of the Nordic economies 1905-85 concludes this book.
