Policy seminar : A new tax research program

Sweden is a country with high taxes and ambitus redistributes when it comes to politics. The importance of studying the role of taxes for economic activity is huge, and that is the reason for IFN creating the new tax research program “Taxes and society”. The purpose is to increase the knowledge about taxes as a significant part of the Swedish economy.

Welcome to a policy seminar where Daniel Waldenström, profesor at IFN, tells us more about the new tax research program, "Taxes and society". This program generates new knowledge when it comes to the significance of taxes and their imporance for the Swedish economy. 

The research program will address different aspects of taxes, for example how taxes have an impact on enterprises and households when it comes to decisions that affects investments and much more. The understanding of this impact, and its processes, is initial for economic research.

The seminar is followed by a panel with Daniel Waldenström, Jesper Ahlgren, State Secretary to Minister for Finance Elisabeth Svantesson och Klas Tikkanen, director at Nordic Capital. 

The panel is moderated by Eva Strindberg Lindgren, Head of Communications at IFN.
