Niklas Elert

Niklas Elert defended his Ph.D. thesis Economic Dynamism - Essays on firm entry and firm growth in September 2014 at Örebro University. His research at IFN focused on entrepreneurship and firm dynamics. He is the author of a book, Människoapans Utmaning (Timbro) (The Challenge of The Human Ape), which deals with the relationship between economic growth and the environment. At IFN he has co-authored two books about the reforms that the European Union should undertake to promote entrepreneurship and innovation. Niklas was a full-time researcher at IFN during 2014–2022 and continued his research at the Institute of Retail Economics in Sweden (HFI).
