Petra Persson received her MSc. degree at Stockholm School of Economics in 2006, after which she spent a year working as a research assistant in China and Russia. She earned her PhD in March 2013 at Columbia University and was appointed Assistant Professor at Stanford University in July 2014. Since 2012 she is research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Boston, MA.
