Carl Magnus Bjuggren

Assistant Professor

Carl Magnus Bjuggren received his Ph.D. in economics in 2013 from Linköping University. His dissertation is a study of firm dynamics, family ownership, and employment protection. It addresses the implications of employment protection on firm productivity and how family owned firms react differently with regards to economic shocks and employee compensation. Carl Magnus was a research faculty member at IFN between 2013 and 2019. He was appointed Assistant Professor at University of Memphis in August 2019.
