Many European countries are experiencing a stagnant economy. The governments of the countries are placing increasing hopes that young entrepreneurial companies will be the engine that gets the economy going and that can generate productivity and employment growth. At the same time, there are concerns that the latest technological developments will create productivity growth without corresponding employment growth.
