Digitalization and Productivity Development in Industries

This project is a research collaboration between Ericsson AB and IFN. In recent years the mass adoption of digital services by industries has emerged as an important factor to spur economic development. Moreover, with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, much of the world moved online. This shows the tremendous potential of digital technologies in industries, which are believed to accelerate with new investments in 5G technologies. Thus, the purpose of this research project is to investigate if more digitally advanced industries are associated with higher productivity.
