Multinational firms, globalization, and outsourcing

The purpose of this sub-project was to empirically investigate how the increased scope for international production fragmentation affects the demand for low- and highly educated labor in Sweden. The multinational company plays a major role in this division of production between countries. With its international network, the multinational company is often well suited to locate different parts of its production where it is considered most efficient.
