Asia's economic development

With the increasing globalization, the Swedish economy is becoming increasingly affected by economic developments in the rest of the world. A large part of external research at the Research Instiute of Industrial Economics (IFN) has focused on Asia in general and China in particular. This is natural as Asia grows stronger economically and accounts for a rapidly increasing share of world production, trade and investment. This in turn leads to the links between the Swedish economy and developments in Asia being strengthened. A large part of the studies revolved around the economic development in China. Other studies focused on foreign direct investment in Asia. Finally, other studies focused more on how developments in China affect Europe.
