In this essay, we discuss the requirements of a successful management of a company's exposure to foreign exchange risks. We argue that the company's performance is affected by foreign exchange risks at many different levels, which together with other risk factors calls for a holistic approach to the exposure. We highlight Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) as the best operationalization of such an approach.
